In order for students to learn and achieve their fullest potential, it is critical that they are in school and engaged in the learning process. Research shows that student absences impact a child’s ability to succeed in school. Please click here to learn more about the district's attendance procedures.
Testing & Assessment
Assessing student academic performance is one measure of determining what has been learned and how well the curriculum is serving the needs of each child. Students in all grades are assessed using multiple measures such as teacher tests, informed reading tests and other performance-based measures. Students will be given every opportunity to demonstrate competency and be successful in all areas. Please click here for more information.
All questions/concerns regarding your child’s program should be directed toward the child study team case manager. If you do not receive a satisfactory response please call the Department of Special Services at 973-762-5600 x1840 where you will be directed to the appropriate administrator.
