Let’s Move! Active Schools, part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative dedicated to ensuring 60 minutes of physical activity a day is the norm in K-12 schools, honored Clinton and Marshall Elementary Schools with the 2016 Let’s Move!
The Taste of Clinton was attended by over 75 families.
After the poetic serenade by Jack the Bag Piper accompanied by Irish Step Dancing, Ms. McGovern’s class filed into the auditorium with a St. Patrick’s day surprise.
Clinton School hosted Rochel Garner Coleman and his children’s theater troupe in a performance of MLK- Amazing Grace.
The fifth grade students of Clinton Elementary school teamed up with several Columbia High School seniors on an anti-bullying project called “Chalk It Up to Respect”, in honor of the fourth annual “Week of Respect” celebrated throughout the state the first week of October.
Shouts of “Hǎo!” or “Good!” in the Mandarin Chinese language rang throughout the audience as Clinton students were mesmerized by the breathtaking acrobatics and dances performed by the Dance China New York acrobats.
On October 31st, Clinton School held its annual parade with excited ghouls, ghosts, and other spooky participants. Parents, many who dressed up for the special day, lined the front walkways to cheer on the students and teachers as they marched the parade route.
