United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) delegates visited Columbia High School to speak about the 2019 International Year of Indigenous Languages as declared by the United Nations.
The South Orange Maplewood School District, in partnership with the Achieve foundation, is proud to announce the launch of the Chromebook & Mobile Hotspot Loaner program at Columbia High School.
The Sphinx Virtuosi, a self-conducted ensemble of top Black and Latinx soloists, annually tours nationwide to reach new audiences with diverse programming.
Members of the Columbia High School Honors Wind Ensemble had the honor of being invited to perform with the United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus.
The Columbia High School Class of 2018 boys’ long distance team closed out their strong four year run with an appearance at the 11th Annual Holmdel Twilight Series Season Ender.
The Tuscan School Student Council and the Tuscan School community ran a “Pennies for Puerto Rico” fundraiser to help with the UNIDOS Disaster Relief and Recovery Program for Puerto Rico.
The Redhawk Native American Arts Council’s performing artists have been sharing Native American dance, music, art and history. The program entertain, educate and foster a positive image of our nation’s first culture. They will be at Marshall School on May 10th to share the cultural traditions first-hand to our students and may even include some form of audience participation!
Third-graders at Jefferson Elementary School had the chance to write and display Guerilla Haikus through a program with Caley Vickerman, who was an artist in residence at the school the week of April 23.
The student council at South Mountain with the help of the local green team kicked off a school wide recycling program.
District seeks feedback on proposed regulations for new Code of Conduct and Restorative Practices, to take effect September 2018.
Circus Kids Productions met with the students over the course of a week where they chose from a selection of acts, practiced them over the week and rehearsed for the big show.
