District Goals
Adopted Monday, September 16, 2019 - Resolution C.3921.
1. Facilities
To lay the groundwork (develop specifications, bids, award contracts, etc.) needed to support a targeted 2021 construction completion date in the elementary schools.
For consideration in the action plan:

- Engaging the community
- Setting everyone’s expectations for next year
2. Integration
By June 30, 2020, the Superintendent has developed an integration plan/proposal that ensures that the student populations in each of our schools are reflective of our district’s diversity and fosters innovation in our elementary schools.
3. Teaching and Learning / Student Achievement
The Superintendent will provide demonstrated evidence of improved teaching and
learning for every student in every school.
For consideration in the action plan:

- Continued revision of curriculum work that embeds cultural competencies
- Robust Professional Development and evidence of implementation
- Data usage
4. Staff Recruitment/Retention/Development
To foster a dynamic learning community that attracts, retains, and develops highly
qualified staff.
For consideration in the action plan:

- Leadership development
- Recruitment, retention
- Increasing staff diversity
Board of Education Goals
Adopted June 14, 2021 - Resolution C.4163.
- Maintain the NJSBA Board Certification status.
- Agree to a Committee structure and update bylaws as necessary. Each committee will invite the student representative to a portion of one of its meetings as permitted. Continue to have the administrative liaison work on committee meeting agenda setting and take minutes.
- Continue as a Board to hold quarterly Board retreats with NJSBA to include training of
board members’ roles and responsibilities during executive sessions, committee
meetings, public discussion and voting. - Attend as a Board majority, NJSBA’s Annual Workshop and report out on information
helpful to the Board.
