Thank you for visiting the Human Resources page for the South Orange & Maplewood School District, where we constantly strive to attract exceptional candidates to fill our vacancies. We pride ourselves on our unwavering dedication to delivering a high-quality education, which is achieved through our outstanding administration, faculty, and staff, as well as a comprehensive curriculum.
As an institution committed to excellence, we understand that promoting equity requires us to identify and address institutional practices, policies, and barriers that perpetuate disparities in opportunities and outcomes. We are fully committed to proactively acknowledging and eradicating any racial and cultural biases that may exist and disrupting institutional structures that hinder student learning and success. To achieve our mission, we prioritize hiring and developing a highly effective workforce, and the Human Resources Department plays a crucial role in this effort.
With a student population of over 7,000, the Human Resources Department oversees the recruitment and hiring process of more than 750 district employees. This includes both professional and support service positions, and our team ensures all employees are compliant with state and federal regulations.
We are dedicated to providing excellent service, and our website offers an online application system for administrative, instructional, and non-instructional positions. Applicants can also upload additional materials to their online application. Please read all instructions and materials carefully to ensure a smooth application process. We are committed to maximizing efficient and effective operations to support our school system goals and drive academic excellence, resulting in high student achievement and highly effective teaching.
