Author Holly McGhee visited Tuscan School on Monday, June 4, 2018 and spoke to kindergarten through grade five about her book, Come with Me, as well as the writing process and her forthcoming book, Listen. Listen will be illustrated by Pascal Lemaitre, the illustrator of Come with Me. Students heard Ms. McGhee read Come with Me and received a sneak peek at the illustrations and text of her soon-to-be published book, Listen.
Kindness, bravery, and friendship in an uncertain world are highlighted in Come with Me. Ms. McGhee urges readers to do their part to make the world a better place.
Ms. McGhee is the author of Come with Me, Matylda, Bright & Tender, and also books under the pen name of Hallie Durand including, Mitchell Goes Bowling, Mitchell’s License, Catch that Cookie, and the Dessert Trilogy.
Students benefited greatly by meeting Ms. McGhee and having the opportunity to ask her questions about the writing and publishing process. Her visit was made possible by the support of the Tuscan PTA and will certainly be a fond memory for students at Tuscan School.
