Jefferson Quilt Freedom Quilt

The students of 5Mc and 5R worked on an African American History "freedom quilt" Inspired by the legend that conductors on the underground railroad would hide secret messages in the designs of handmade quilts. Each student designed a quilting square detailing a person, place, or event from African American History. The quilt has 48 squares in total. 5Mc and 5R are very excited about this project, and invite you to come see their quilt.
