To celebrate New Jersey's regions, Jefferson students in Ms. Bialer and Ms. Scasso and Ms. Gaffney’s 4th grade classes made a "Jersey Fresh" feast using only produce that was grown in the Garden State. Students prepared many different salads such as Jersey corn salad, fennel salad, tomato salad, lettuce salad and purple cauliflower salad.  Students also created their own quick pickle, learning that in colonial times, families pickled vegetables in order to preserve food for use during the winter. Yum!
