Clinton School's Mrs.
Wrembel and Mr. Drechsel's third grade classes were treated to a Jazz
concert during school on June 9th!
Each year, Stephane Wrembel*, French born jazz guitarist and Maplewood resident
known for his song "Big Brother" featured on the soundtrack for Woody
Allen's movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona and composing the theme track for
Allen's film Midnight in Paris, "Bistro Fada", organizes a
festival celebrating the music of Django Reinhart, and Clinton kids got a
preview. Stephane Wrembel (guitar) was joined by three talented musicians
visiting from France for the festival: Sebastian Felix (guitar), Kamlo Barre
(guitar), and John Intrator (violin). Our students are so grateful to each and
every one of these performers for taking the time to play for us, answer our
questions and share their passion for music.
