ELA Update

Elementary Information

When the South Orange & Maplewood Schools District announced its "Remote Learning Lessons", who would have expected we would be teaching online for a longer period of time. Currently, the English Language Arts has moved from completing activities in Remote Learning Packets to teaching explicitly online. The work daily online through Google Classroom is intended to take an average of 30 minutes for students to access reading, writing, and language instruction. Students are asked to complete work on their Chromebook offline; the work may take students the remaining 60 minutes of the ELA instructional time. Some students may prefer to work in a notebook or on paper. Simply take a picture or scan the work to send to your teacher. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace at home. If for some reason, the work could not be completed on the day assigned, then aim to complete the work the next day. Do look for daily communication from your teacher.
